ACCESS TRAINING SERVICES
Ltd (ATS)
ATS rope access courses are designed to provide you
with an internationally recognised qualification as an industrial
rope access technician. You will learn all the skills you
need to work safely and effectively in the rope access industry
- from IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association) trainers
and assessors.
Our indoor, all weather training centre is well equipped
to simulate a wide variety of industrial rope access situations;
bridge inspection, stadium
painting and oil-rig maintenance.
Experienced access technicians can practice complex hauling
and rescue systems in a number of interesting situations whilst
developing the latest techniques with our instructors.
All our instructors are fully qualified rope access technicians.
With years of experience in their field, they can prepare
new starters for their first job and update more experienced
technicians on new techniques and legislation.
In addition to the rope, bolts and beam routes, there are
fixed ladders and high-level platforms; all equipped with
their own fall protection systems, for you to use. |

Working at height
legislation
Experience shows that falls from height usually occur
as a result of poor management control rather than equipment
failure, with one of the most common factors being inadequate
information, instruction, training or supervision.
The Work at Height Regulations 2005 state:
"Every employer shall ensure that no person
engages in any activity, including organisation, planning
and supervision in relation to work at height or work equipment
for use in such work unless he is competent to do so or, if
being trained, is being supervised by a competent person."
